Backward Glances is a one-stop vintage shop for clothing, costumes, t-shirts, accessories, and collectibles. From New Kids on the Block memorabilia to cat eye sunglasses, the store,  located on the lower level of The Shoppes at the Arcade, will hit the nostalgia nerve in the best way possible. Backward Glances specializes in fashions from the 1940s to the 1980s, a great spot for those authentic bell bottoms for a Halloween costume or an ugly sweater for a holiday party. Jersey Shore Rescue Mission Thrift Store | 701 Memorial Drive

The Jersey Shore Rescue Mission Thrift Store is a great place to donate gently loved items and shop to support the community. New and used furniture, clothing, housewares, appliances, sporting goods, office furnishings, and small knick-knacks are for sale at bargain prices. Thrift store donations are tax deductible and any proceeds go towards the meals, shelter, clothing, and essential items that the Mission provides to their guests free of charge. The Thrift Store accepts donations of most items except toys, magazines, tires, batteries, and weapons.

Nostalgia Factory | 511 Cookman Avenue, Unit 102

 
Nostalgia Factory on Cookman Avenue has a wide variety of vintage apparel, including old concert tees, sports jerseys, crewneck sweatshirts, as well as hats and sneakers. The shop’s clothing racks contain a rare collection of pop-culture and music-related shirts in fabulous condition — just look at this vintage Backstreet Boys tee. If you grew up in the area, you may remember Atomic CDs — the vintage music shop in downtown Point Pleasant. The local favorite eclectic vintage shop reopened on Main Street in Belmar in 2021 and houses some of the most unique and funky treasures. From Blondie t-shirts to platform boots and men’s Hawaiian shirts, shoppers will have a blast going through the racks. The shop also features original art and merchandise by local artists and designers.

The Center Square Thrift Shop | 800 Main Street

The clothes at The Center Square Thrift Shop prove that it doesn’t cost a lot to look like a million bucks. The center is an Asbury Park-based nonprofit organization that has provided support services to people living with HIV/AIDs in Monmouth and Ocean Counties since 1992. The Center Thrift Shop is a donation shop on Main Street in Belmar operated and run by The Center and its volunteers. The store has a great variety of women’s clothes, jewelry, shoes, men’s clothes, kids clothes, and housewares. Shoppers will find that many of the items still have the original tags still on and are in perfect condition. With reasonable prices and proceeds going to a good cause, you can shop guilt-free.

Daffodil Consignment | 908 Main Street

Daffodil Consignment is an upscale consignment shop for women’s and children’s clothing. With its ever-changing inventory, shoppers are sure to find an outfit for any occasion.
